Conventional IP/Resistivity

Conventional IP/Resistivity

The Induced Polarization (IP) method of geophysical exploration is capable of detecting even small amounts of metallic luster minerals in a rock mass. Consequently, over the years, IP surveying has become the most popular ground geophysical survey method for copper, gold and many other minerals commodities.

Discovery has many years’ experience conducting IP/Resistivity Surveys throughout all terrains worldwide. We employ 16 and 32 Channel state-of-the-art receiver technology and high powered transmitter equipment to maximize signal to noise. We understand very well the challenges in collecting high quality data and implement measures to always acquire the best data possible relative to the ambient noise. Full-waveform GPS Time Stamped recording of all receiver and transmitted data, along with post survey signal processing of these data significantly enhances final data quality in modern day IP/Resistivity Surveys.
